Update: SD Soybean Yield Contest Harvest Forms Deadline Extended November 15
Due to challenging harvest conditions the Harvest form deadline has been extended to November 15, 2018 for the 2018 South Dakota Soybean Yield Contest.
Growers who enrolled in the South Dakota Soybean Yield Contest by the August 31 deadline, can submit their completed harvest form online www.sdsoybean.org/yieldcontest. They can also download a printable version of the form on the website and submit via mail to the South Dakota Soybean office.
All yield data is confidential.
“We recognize that this is a busy time of year, but all of us as farmers are collecting this yield data anyway. Sharing yield data for this contest – whatever your yields – helps us develop best management practices, which South Dakota soybean growers can use to improve yields,” said Jon Schaeffer, a second-generation Viborg farmer who chairs the South Dakota Soybean Yield Contest committee and serves on the South Dakota Soybean Association board.
All farmers who submit a harvest form, are automatically entered into a drawing for $500 cash. Contest winners also receive cash awards for winning yields.
Reminder: Before harvest, South Dakota Soybean encourages farmers to review the updated contest rules for 2018.

Sponsored by the South Dakota Soybean Research & Promotion Council (SDSRPC) and managed by the South Dakota Soybean Association (SDSA), the annual South Dakota Soybean Yield Contest encourages soybean growers to push yield limits and share best management practices.
