SDSRPC Welcomes New and Returning Directors
The South Dakota Soybean Research and Promotion Council (SDSRPC) is proud to welcome three directors to serve on behalf of soybean farmers across the state. The board is responsible for investing soybean checkoff dollars into research, market development, promotion, and education to advance the industry.
District 3 – Jeff Thompson, Colton
Jeff Thompson farms with his wife near Colton, raising soybeans and corn. He’s farmed for more than 40 years and is a graduate of SDSU with a degree in Mechanized Agriculture. Jeff previously served on the South Dakota Soybean Association board and joins SDSRPC after running uncontested in District 3.
District 4 – David Iverson, Toronto
David Iverson has farmed near Toronto for decades, raising corn and soybeans. He is continuing with a second term on the board and brings prior experience from nine years on the council. Dave has also represented South Dakota nationally through WISHH, SD Trade, Dakota BioWorx, and the United Soybean Board.
District 7 – Carson Stange, Stratford
Carson Stange raises corn, soybeans, wheat, and cattle with his wife and daughter near Stratford. A Lake Area Tech graduate and SDARL Class XII alum, Carson is actively involved in his community and local ag leadership. After participating in SDSRPC’s See for Yourself tour last year, Carson was inspired to seek a seat on the board and was elected to represent District 7.

We’re excited to welcome these farmer-leaders as they help guide the future of South Dakota soy!
