Join Us for Summer Shop Talk Events in Huron and Faulkton
South Dakota Soybean invites area farmers to attend two free Shop Talk events this July. These gatherings offer a chance to connect with fellow producers, hear timely updates, and enjoy a complimentary meal.
The Huron Shop Talk will be held on Wednesday, July 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at NorthWestern Energy, 600 Market Street SW in Huron.
The Faulkton Shop Talk will take place on Thursday, July 10, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Lakeside Country Club, 35049 W Lake St in Faulkton.
South Dakota Soybean Association board director and local farmer JD Wangsness will serve as emcee for both events.
“These Shop Talks are a great way for producers to get out together for a few hours, hear what’s going on, and connect with people who understand what you’re dealing with day to day,” Wangsness said. “We hope farmers from around the area will join us.”
Attendees will hear updates from the offices of Senator Thune, Senator Rounds, and Representative Johnson, along with the USDA Farm Service Agency and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service.
Educational speakers from Farm Credit Services of America and Legacy Law Firm, P.C. will share insights on financial planning, risk management, and farm succession.
All farmers are welcome to attend. Space is limited, so please register in advance at sdsoybean.org, by emailing vwillson@sdsoybean.org, or by calling 605-330-9942.
