Apply for the 2017 See for Yourself Program to the Pacific Northwest
The South Dakota Soybean Research and Promotion Council (SDSRPC) invites you to apply for the sixth annual See for Yourself program to the Pacific Northwest. Experience first hand, how your soybeans start the journey to overseas customers. From March 13-16, 2017, participants will get a firsthand look at export locations throughout Washington state. The deadline to apply is January 16, 2017
Join the tour and see where your soybeans go from your farm and how they are processed. Over sixty percent of South Dakota soybeans are exported each year, so understanding the global journey of your crops is more important than ever. You’ll also learn how your checkoff dollars are invested to promote soybeans both abroad and in the U.S.
If chosen, you’ll visit port facilities of Tacoma Export Marketing Company, the Port of Grays Harbor and an AGP export facility, BNSF Railway, the Northwest Fisheries Science Center, a division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and REG – Grays Harbor LLC, a biodiesel facility.
Airfare, lodging, meals and most other expenses will be covered by SDSRPC. Apply here.
