The annual South Dakota Soybean Yield Contest was created to recognize and reward South Dakota’s top soybean producers. The contest encourages new and innovative soybean management practices, and it also provides valuable agronomic data for farmers across the state. American Soybean Association (ASA) President Wade Cowan has confirmed the election of ASA’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH) officers and committee members for 2015-2016. Monica McCranie, a soybean farmer from Claremont, was elected as Treasurer. Other officers include: Chairman Lucas Heinen (Kan.); Vice Chair Dean Coleman (Iowa); and Secretary Daryl Cates (Ill.)
“Hungry for Truth”, an initiative by the South Dakota Soybean Research & Promotion Council, is presenting Lee Brice in concert on August 6th at the Sioux Empire Fair and will give away meet-and-greet passes to the event. Brice, a Grammy nominee and CMA award winner, has had hit singles including “Love Like Crazy,” “Hard to Love” and “I Drive Your Truck.”
