Visit the South Dakota Soybean tent at Dakotafest in Mitchell, August 18-20. This year, South Dakota Soybean will have an air-conditioned tent in a new location, on 1st Street, Lot 6. Come connect with industry experts and learn about the latest in soybean management.

On Wednesday at 10 a.m., the South Dakota Soybean Association (SDSA) will host a featured discussion on water quality. Representatives from the Iowa Soybean Association will discuss events in Iowa and statewide efforts to drive nutrient reduction practices.

“Dakotafest is the perfect venue to talk about issues that have the potential to impact soybean farmers. Iowa farmers are at the forefront of water quality issues, and what happens in Iowa may influence the discussion in South Dakota,” said John Horter, farmer from Andover and SDSA president. “As farmers, water quality and nutrient management are top priorities, and we look forward to finding ways to continually improve. I hope you’ll join us and welcome the Iowa Soybean Association for this featured discussion.”

In addition, Dakotafest attendees can enjoy free wood-fire grilled pizza in the South Dakota Soybean tent on Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in support of animal agriculture. On Wednesday, attendees can join South Dakota Soybean for the annual Ice Cream Social from noon to 4 p.m. with free SDSU ice cream.
