Session 1
Panel Discussion: A Conversation About Farming and Food Safety
Morton Center Building, 9-10 a.m.
Hosted by a South Dakota farmer, this panel will feature a group of moms, business owners and influencers in the Sioux Falls community. We’ll learn how they navigate today’s grocery store aisles, food labels and online information to choose which foods are safe and nutritious to feed their families. We’ll explore topics such as food labels, food safety, GMOs, pesticides and sustainability. This interactive discussion offers audience members the opportunity to ask panelists how they make decisions throughout the discussion.

Session 2
How to Have Effective Conversations With Consumers
Monsanto Speaker Tent, 2-2:40 p.m.
This session will explore the ways farmers can have more effective conversations with consumers online and in person. Featuring two South Dakota farmers and nationally recognized blogger “The Farm Babe,” this presentation shares valuable tips and resources for connecting with consumers about how their food is grown and raised.
