SDSA Develops New Legislative Resource for 2012 SD Legislative Session
The South Dakota Soybean Association (SDSA) has developed a new legislative guide to help navigate the 2012 South Dakota Legislative Session. Stakeholders can find the legislative guide under the Legislative Section on www.sdsoybean.org.
“As an advocacy organization, public policy is the number one priority for the South Dakota Soybean Association. We wanted to develop a resource to help stakeholders understand which bills may have the potential to impact South Dakota agriculture, and what actions we are taking, ” said Paul Casper, SDSA president and farmer from Lake Preston.
The new legislative guide highlights bills from this year’s session that might impact South Dakota farmers and livestock producers. Users can also see SDSA’s positions on the bills, whether they support, oppose or are monitoring the issue.
“SDSA is actively engaged in Pierre, advocating on behalf of our farmer members. We work hard to positively impact legislation so that members can continue to be successful in their operations,” Casper said.
In addition to covering the 2012 South Dakota legislative session, users can become more involved in the political process by submitting comments to SDSA on bills and learning more about top national issues.
